“With freedom, flowers, books, and the moon, who could not be perfectly happy?”

- Oscar Wilde

Growing Practices

My flower journey started years ago when I was looking to increase my vegetable yields.

I knew that if I wanted to maximize my produce, and see the results that were important to me, I had to reintroduce pollinators and beneficial insects to the area.

...and what I discovered was a...FLOWER

This eventually lead me down the path of sustainability. While I am certainly not perfect, I try my best to use natural and organic means. From fertilization, to weed and pest control, I am aim to use the highest quality and environmentally friendly tools and methods available to me. I am hopeful that I can give back to the environment as much health and beauty it has given me.

A practitioner of conscious capitalism, I believe that when we all try and do the right thing, our business, farms, and flowers will grow as a result.

Business should be a force for good, not just in terms of profits, but in terms of the impact it has on society and the environment

Keeping Us Healthy

With flower production becoming more popular, the spread of plant virus and disease has rightfully come into the spotlight.

Some things we are doing to keep our plant babies healthy includes but is not limited to:

-Building healthy soil with organic and natural compost.

-Reintroduction of native plants interplanted within the landscape and beds.

-"No till" practices.

-No plastic weed barriers.

-When fertilization and or sprays ARE used, they are the safest and most natural available to me.

-Companion planting.

-Sanitation of tools between plants.

-1st year dahlia tubers received from other farms are planted in fabric grow bags away from the "clean" crop for one season for observation.

Hi, I am Chelsie, the person behind the flowers. I grow on a small scale on my property in central Maine. I truly enjoy observing and being involved with the progressive life of flowers. From the time sprouting seed emerges to bloom to a maturing seed pod, I learn something new everyday.

Thank you for supporting a local grower! I am looking forward to growing, learning, and blooming with you!
